The Ohio State University is re-launching an updated version of its Million Hearts® Fellowship module. More than 62,000 people across the U.S. have received cardiovascular screening and education about improving heart health with the original module in partnership with over 150 academic institutions and organizations. The educational module serves as a teaching tool for health sciences’ students and healthcare professionals. Participants learn to provide community outreach using the “ABCS” of Million Hearts® as well as conduct Million Hearts® screenings and provide education that improves cardiovascular health in their communities and organizations.
Nurses, health sciences students, faculty, academic institutions, and healthcare professionals are encouraged to participate in this important initiative.
The Ohio State University is a collaborative partner of Million Hearts®, a national initiative from the Department of Health and Human Services, with the goal of preventing 1 million heart attacks and strokes by 2022.
