Dedicated to Creating the Future of Medicine to Improve People's Lives. Located in Columbus, The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is one of the largest and most diverse academic medical centers in the country and the only academic medical center in central Ohio. Ohio State's Wexner Medical Center includes: a top-ranked College of Medicine, six hospitals, a unified physician practice, network of primary and specialty care practices, more than a dozen research centers and institutes, and 20 core laboratories.
This powerful enterprise is driven by our mission: to improve people’s lives through innovation in research, education and patient care. We also share a common vision: working as a team, we will shape the future of medicine by creating, disseminating and applying new knowledge, and by personalizing health care to meet the needs of each individual.
The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center–Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC–James) is one of the nation's premier cancer centers for the prevention, detection and treatment of cancer.
The OSUCCC–James is one of only 41 centers in the United States designated by the National Cancer Institute a Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition, the OSUCCC–James is a founding member of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN), an alliance of 21 of the world's leading cancer centers that develops clinical practice guidelines to improve the quality and effectiveness of care provided to patients with cancer.
At Nationwide Children’s, we recognize that our work is far too important for us not to be the very best at it. And we’re nationally recognized for doing so.
We have been ranked again in the U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals.” We were the first freestanding pediatric hospital in Ohio to achieve Magnet status, designating us as a hospital that provides world-class patient care and innovation in nursing practice. The Research Institute is ranked in the top 10 for National Institutes of Health funding among free-standing children's hospitals.
To ensure we keep with our mission, we are setting a path for our future. We partner with the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine to train the next generation of pediatricians, pediatric specialists and scientists.
We are The Children's Hospital, seeing nearly 1 million patients annually. We are one of the country’s largest not-for-profit freestanding pediatric health care networks. Our nearly 10,000 hospital staff and 1,000 medical staff have been providing the best possible care since 1892. And we got here by remembering one thing: When your child needs a hospital, everything matters.
