Evidence-based Practice Certificate Holder
The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare is pleased to offer an EBP Certificate since November 1, 2018. This certificate is available to qualified health professionals who work in practice or education. As a certificate holder, the recipient may use “Evidence-based Practice (CH)” below their signature line. There is no awarded credential.
- Recognized by the Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice (EBP) in Nursing and Healthcare.
- The EBP Certificate is fully accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC).
- It is recognized by Magnet® on their approved list of certifications/certificates.
- The EBP Certificate is approved for the Master Certification List by the Veterans Health Administration Office of Nursing Service Certification.
The Evidence-based Practice certificate holder (CH) has demonstrated expertise in EBP methodology and the EBP competencies.
This certificate recognizes demonstrated expertise in EBP and denotes that the successful applicant has completed the required education component. Applicants will need to provide documentation of advanced intensive continuing education or bachelorette-level or higher study in EBP.
Successful completion grants the EBP certificate for a period of five years, with the option for recertification.
Applicants will need to satisfy three components to earn the EBP certificate:
- Component 1: Demonstrated completion of EBP coursework (within the last five years).
- Component 2: Demonstrated EBP knowledge through content review and successful testing.
- Component 3: Approval of submitted portfolio demonstrating the application of EBP methodology and knowledge of an evidence-based practice change initiative (EBP or EBQI).
