Fuld National Institute for EBP Funding
2023 Funding Announcement
The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice (EBP) in Nursing and Healthcare at The Ohio State University College of Nursing has selected four proposals to receive Fuld Funding for the 2023 cycle.
All four projects – which will receive $2,500 each – focus on evidence-based practice and evidence-based quality improvement initiatives.
2022 Funding Announcement
The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice (EBP) in Nursing and Healthcare funded six awards to stimulate and advance EBP and implementation science in nursing and healthcare across the United States. There are two categories: one focused on application of evidence to improve practice quality and safety using the evidence-based practice (EBP) process, and the other on stimulation of the science related to EBP and implementation of evidence into practice.
EBP funding was awarded to Nimian Bauder, AGCNS-BC, NPD-BC, and Christine Tarver, DNP, RN, CNS, NEA-BC, of City of Hope National Medical Center; Holly Chignolli, DNP, APRN-CNP, of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center; Jennifer Cunningham, RN, BSN, of the University of Illinois at Chicago; Dawn Neuhauser, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, OCN®, of City of Hope National Medical Center; and the research funding were awarded to Jeannine Brant, PhD, APRN-CNS, AOCN, FAAN, of City of Hope National Medical Center; and Cheryl Monturo, PhD, MBE, ACNP-BC, of Chester County Hospital at University of Pennsylvania Medicine.
2021 Funding Announcement
The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice (EBP) in Nursing and Healthcare funded six awards in 2021.
Funding was awarded to James Dilleshaw, BSN, RN, DNP candidate, of the Medical University of South Carolina College of Nursing; Jiale Hu, PhD, RN, of Virginia Commonwealth University; Letha M. Joseph, DNP, APRN, AGPCNP-BC, of the Community Living Center Durham, VA Healthcare System; Kerry King, MSN, RN, OCN®, of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; Tiffany Messerall, DNP, APRN, WHNP-BC, RNC-OB, of OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital and Lindsey Patton, MSN, APRN, PCNS-BC 1, of Texas Christian University and Children’s Health System of Texas for EBP initiatives and research projects.
2020 Funding Announcement
The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice (EBP) in Nursing and Healthcare awarded funding to five submissions in 2020.
Funding was awarded for one research study to Daiwai Olson, PhD, RN, CCRN, FNCS of University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center; and four EBP initiatives to Donna Bond, DNP, RN-CNS from Carilion Clinic in Virginia; Lisa Jasin, NNP of Dayton Children’s Hospital in Ohio; Gail Sprigler, DNP, RN of Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Kentucky; and Jamie Vano, AGNP-C, NP of Atrium Health in North Carolina.

The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare has awarded its inaugural round of funding. Funding is intended to provide an opportunity to stimulate and advance evidence-based practice (EBP) and implementation science in nursing and healthcare across the United States.
Funding was awarded to Linda Quinlin, DNP, APRN-CNS, APRN-CNP, ACHPN, and Kerry A. Milner, DNCs, RN, for EBP and research projects, respectively
