Relaunching EBP MOOC: Free online course offers introduction to Evidence-based Practice
The College of Nursing is re-launching its Massive Open Online Course, "Foundations of Evidence-Based Practice in Healthcare” Jan 23-Mar 17, 2017 . With support from the Office of Distance Education and eLearning, the course is taught by internationally renowned experts from the College of Nursing’s Center for Transdisciplinary Evidence-based Practice. The MOOC is self-paced and participants can sign up at any time during the course.

Relaunching EBP MOOC: Free online course offers introduction to Evidence-based Practice
The Ohio State University College of Nursing has launched a Massive Open Online Course to anyone with an interest in health sciences and nursing. This course, “Foundations of Evidence-based Practice in Healthcare,” is taught by internationally renowned EBP experts Bernadette Melnyk, PhD, RN, CPNP/PMHNP, FNAP, FAAN, and Lynn Gallagher-Ford, PhD, RN, DPFNAP, NE-BC.
This course will provide a foundational overview of evidence-based practice (EBP) in nursing and health sciences, including the seven steps of the EBP process as well as research supported strategies for implementing EBP in real world settings. The course will be taught by internationally renowned experts in EBP who will share their knowledge and skills gained through decades of work with hundreds of healthcare organizations across the nation and the globe. The course will include lectures, readings, and skill building activities.
At the conclusion of the course, learners will be able to:
discuss the importance of EBP in improving healthcare quality and patient outcomes describe the seven steps of EBP and how to implement EBP in real world...
