The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare at The Ohio State University College of Nursing is partnering with Elsevier Inc. and the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) to launch an exciting new research study titled –“Evidence-based Practice and U.S. Healthcare Outcomes: Findings from a National Survey with Nursing Professional Development Specialists”.
The purpose of this study is to obtain the perceptions of Nursing Professional Development Specialists related to EBP and the relationships among these perceptions and selected healthcare system performance metrics. Having a better understanding of the current state of nursing professional development specialists’ EBP attributes and how they correlate to critical healthcare indices will promote achievement of quality outcomes for the improvement of healthcare. This study will focus on determining the EBP beliefs, EBP implementation, EBP competencies and support of an EBP organizational culture as well as how they relate to critical healthcare outcomes.
An announcement will be made as part of the Conference Update on Wednesday July 15, 2015 which will be delivered by the ANPD President - Dr. Joan Warren right at the beginning of the General Session at 8:15 AM in the Mirage Events Center B. If you are attending, please stop by to hear her discuss more details regarding the study.
