
The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare is proud to offer the Evidence-based Practice Certificate Holder (EBP-CH) program. This recognition is available to qualified healthcare professionals working in both clinical practice and academic settings.
The EBP-CH designation signifies demonstrated expertise in evidence-based practice and successful completion of an approved education component. To earn the certificate, applicants must provide documentation of advanced continuing education or coursework in EBP.
Certificate Details:
- Validity: Five years from the date of issuance.
- Accreditation: The program is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC) and recognized by the Magnet® Recognition Program as a mark of excellence in professional nursing practice.
To earn the EBP-CH designation, applicants must meet all three of the following components:
- Education: Completion of advanced EBP coursework or intensive continuing education within the past five years.
- Knowledge Assessment: Demonstrated current EBP knowledge through content review and successful completion of an exam.
- Portfolio Review: Submission of a portfolio showcasing an evidence-based practice or quality improvement initiative.
We have recently transitioned our previous EBP Certification (EBP-C) into a unified designation—EBP-CH. If you currently hold the EBP-C designation and wish to convert it to the EBP-CH, please submit your request click here by August 1, 2025.
Applications for new EBP-CH candidates will open after August 1, 2025.
