Teaching and Integrating Evidence-based Practice in Academic and Clinical Settings

Course Description

This immersive two-day course equips healthcare educators, clinical leaders and academic faculty with the knowledge, strategies and tools to effectively teach and integrate Evidence-based Practice (EBP) across diverse healthcare environments. Participants will explore the evolution, impact and practical application of EBP, gain hands-on experience in teaching each step of the EBP process, and develop strategies to foster an EBP culture in both academic and clinical settings.

The first day provides a comprehensive foundation in the steps of EBP — from clinical inquiry and evidence searching to critical appraisal, implementation and dissemination — while the second day focuses on teaching strategies, learning activities and methods for fostering engagement and sustainability.
