Join us for an engaging webinar focused on transforming Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) education to better prepare graduates for real-world impact. This session explores strategies for integrating evidence-based practice (EBP) and implementation practices—rooted in implementation science—into DNP curricula. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to align DNP education with current healthcare challenges, foster interprofessional collaboration and support student success in translating evidence into practice.
Whether you're a faculty member, program director or healthcare leader, this session offers actionable insights for enhancing DNP curriculum relevance, rigor and impact.
Speakers:
Cindy Zellefrow, DNP, MSEd, RN, CSN, EBP-C
Cindy Zellefrow is director of the RN to BSN Program and assistant professor of clinical nursing at The Ohio State University. Her scholarship centers on evidence-based practice, evidence-based quality improvement and DNP education with an emphasis on the DNP final project. She co-developed and delivered numerous lectures and courses on teaching and integrating evidence-based practice (EBP) in academic and clinical settings worldwide. She has consulted with entities across six continents and disseminated her work on EBP and DNP education globally.
Cindy Beckett, PhD, RN, NCC-E, LCCE-E, LSS-BB, EBP-C, FNAP
Cindy Beckett is an assistant clinical professor at The Ohio State University College of Nursing, where she teaches evidence-based practice and directs workshops on the Integrated Evidence-based Quality Model (PPQ), and teaching EBP. Her research focuses on perinatal and pediatric populations, underserved communities and EBP credentialing programs. She is a long-time leader, mentoring and teaching EBP and quality initiatives.

- Describe approaches to prepare DNP students and graduates to drive meaningful change in healthcare systems.
