The Helene Fuld Health Trust National Institute for Evidence-based Practice in Nursing and Healthcare is pleased to offer an EBP Certification and an EBP Certificate. These recognition programs are available to qualified health professionals who work in practice or education.

The certification and the certificate recognize demonstrated expertise in EBP and denotes that the successful applicant has completed the required education component. Applicants will need to provide documentation of advanced intensive continuing education or coursework in EBP.

Successful completion grants you the EBP certification or the EBP Certificate for a period of five years.

Applicants will need to satisfy three components to earn the EBP certificate or certification:

  • Component 1: Demonstrated completion of EBP coursework (within the last five years).
  • Component 2: Demonstrated current status of EBP knowledge through content review and successful testing.
  • Component 3: Submission of a portfolio for review that shows an evidence-based practice or evidence-based quality improvement change initiative/project.

Registration is currently closed for both programs.

This is the first globally recognized certificate and certification in the specialty area of evidence-based practice. Both the EBP Certification and the EBP Certificate are approved for the Master Certification List by the Veterans Health Administration Office of Nursing Service Certification.
