Advancing and Sustaining EBP and Clinician Well-being in Healthcare Systems to Achieve Healthcare’s Quadruple Aim
Half-Day Workshop: Wednesday, April 1, 2020, 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
Although findings from multiple studies have supported that evidence-based practice (EBP) and clinician well-being improves the quality and safety of healthcare and decreases costs, they are not consistently practiced and supported in clinical settings across the United States. Further, nurses across the nation report a lack of competency in EBP and sub-optimal health outcomes. This workshop will identify the current barriers and facilitators of EBP and clinician well-being. It will also identify evidence-based tactics to enhance EBP and nurse well-being in healthcare settings to improve healthcare quality, safety, costs and patient outcomes. Research-based models to advance EBP and nurse well-being will be highlighted along with key leadership strategies necessary to sustain evidence-based care and promote the highest level of wellness in nurses and clinicians.
