Community Core: Health and Wellness Evidence for Everyone
- The Community Core tagline is "Health evidence for everyone"
- Our vision is to be a leader in driving evidence-based decision making for the community to improve health
- Our mission is to help people use evidence for health decisions
- Our goal is to improve public health through evidence
The goal of the Community Core is to improve public health through evidence. We serve the community - patients and families- the consumers of health care. Person-centered care puts the patient and family at the heart of every decision. The public community needs trustworthy health information to be well. Science and research serve as the basis of trustworthy evidence.
The Community Core Advisory Board (CCAB) guides our work. The board members provide input for our strategic plan and our goal to improve public health through evidence. Our work uses five actions: 1) Inform me, 2) Engage me, 3) Empower me, 4) Partner with me, and 5) Support my community.
