Advancing Health Care Safety: Aligning Magnet, Safety Competence and Safer Together

March 26, 2026
Noon to 1 p.m.

This webinar series occurs on the last Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m. ET

This webinar will show how health care leaders can integrate the Quality and Safety Education for Nursing (QSEN) Safety Competency with the Safer Together: National Action Plan for Advancing Patient Safety (NAP) to strengthen a systems approach to safety.

Participants will learn how to operationalize these nationally endorsed frameworks — developed with leadership from the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and aligned with the ANCC Magnet Framework and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Essentials. The melding of frameworks will support organizations on the Journey to Magnet Excellence® or to Magnet redesignation by highlighting strategies to support a robust safety culture for patients and staff, enhance patient engagement, and build learning systems that advance safe care delivery across settings.
